In 1987, Safoora School was formally established with the purpose of providing training for practical nurses, enabling both male and female students to acquire the skills necessary to work and serve in Christian Hospital Tank and other Christian healthcare institutes. This marked an important step in strengthening the healthcare workforce and improving access to medical services in the region.
As healthcare education standards evolved, the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) introduced updated regulations for nursing and midwifery training institutions. In response to these changes, Safoora School worked diligently to meet all required standards. As a result of these efforts, the institution achieved a significant milestone in 2023, when it was officially recognized the Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council and affiliated with the Nursing Examination Board. In the same year, Safoora Community Midwifery School was formally registered with the Pakistan Nursing Council, marking a new era of professional training and recognition.
We feel especially privileged and honored to have been granted a quota of 50 seats per batch, which represents a historic achievement. This is the first time in history that a Christian institution has been permitted to enroll such a large number of students each year in community midwifery training. This opportunity allows the school to expand its impact and address the urgent healthcare needs.
